Avalana launches new immersive design collection

This week I held a special celebratory event local to my home to toast 5 years in business and launch my new wallpaper, mural and design collection – flight of fancy.

The event which saw me arrive in my very own branded taxi, a flamingo pink robe, flamboyant mirrored outfit and pink hair as a nod to one of my new designs took place at the beautiful Worsley Old Hall, Worsley.

We lucked out with the weather. When I spoke with my event and PR team Sam and Emma back in June we were a little worried that our alfresco event could be switched indoors but thank goodness mother nature decided to shine upon us – we had such a great afternoon and I’m still on a high.

My guests at the event which included local lifestyle influencers, interior designers and trade partners were treated to celebratory ‘Avalana’ cocktails, bespoke velvet gift bags and the new collection launch featuring fabrics and murals.

A sexy saxophonist set the scene playing Ibiza classics against a backdrop of a beautifully decorated teepee in the sunny gardens of the venue. Later guests were invited to take part in a special workshop with Manchester’s furniture artist and friend, Sarah Parmenter from Reloved MCR and sponsored by my favourite specialist paint company, Guild Lane.

The new ‘flights of fancy’ collection reflects my close connotation with nature and exotic travel, offering customers a unique opportunity to transform their spaces with stunning, immersive designs.

The new collection is based around movement; from flamboyant, pink flamingos frolicking together and koi fish gliding amongst lily ponds to British butterflies fluttering in meadows and autumnal leaves floating to the forest floor. I love how my signature designs are full of depth and I think that came across at my launch event.

The collection also features metallic mural options in copper and gold to bring an extra layer of opulence and texture to interiors. The shimmering metals offer a different mood throughout the day and night depending on natural daylight and ambient lighting.

Flight of Fancy epitomises movement and encapsulates the beauty of the natural world, helping place you deep into the landscape. I have taken each scene a little further into a surrealist realm and I think it’s this which makes the designs draw you in.

Every design in this collection was created first as a sketch. I feel the collection offers homeowners the opportunity to add wonder walls and co-ordinating textiles to their home with ease. Many of my customers are now taking my designs up to the ceiling for extra drama and so this was a consideration I made through the design process. For those who just want to dip their toe into maximalism, the cushions and art prints are a way of introducing a little magic.

The collection which launched in September featuring flamingle, koi kin, papilio parade, paradise garden and sycamore is ideal for homeowners, interior designers, and decorators looking to add a touch of flair and personality to their spaces. The papers and fabrics are made with premium, eco-friendly materials that ensure durability and easy maintenance. Mural designs are also available for customisation, allowing customers to tailor the scene to their specific needs.
